Trâu bạc đi đâu mất mùa đấy

Chỉ cách nói theo quan niệm mê tín, cho rằng ở đâu xuất hiện dấu hiệu bị xem là điềm gở thì ở đó dễ gặp thất bát, xui rủi. Cũng dùng để tự than mình kém may, làm ăn thường thua thiệt, thất bại; ở dị bản này, “trâu bạc” nhấn vào màu lông ánh bạc bị coi là khác thường.

Refers to a superstitious belief that wherever an ominous sign appears, misfortune or bad harvest will follow. It is also used self-deprecatingly of someone who sees themselves as unlucky and prone to losses and failure; here, the “silver buffalo” highlights an unusually colored animal regarded as inauspicious.
